00 pm to 1:
30 am, Monday through Friday.
No weekend work and we strive to give a 3 day work week every other Friday.
Excellent benefits! The Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes and recording and analyzing data for an interior door manufacturing facility.
Assists the Quality Supervisor in the development of control plans and process documentation.
Plays an active role in the development of quality assurance procedures and will be actively involved in process improvement efforts to ensure that product meets specification and customer expectations.
This position will work primarily on the plant floor to collect metric data points, analyzing quality data, applying quality tools and fundamental statistical methods to process control and improvements.
This role also documents procedures, files quality paperwork, performs product safety audits, assists in reporting quality issues and participates as an active and constructive member of the quality team.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent or Technical School graduate.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to use measurement tools.
Candidates with experience working as a door or window installer or in carpentry as a wood craftsman would thrive in this position.
Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid any disruptions in production and customer service.
Ability to use computer equipment and software applications (MS-Office Products) Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment including a comparator, caliper, weight scales, height gauges, micrometers, etc.
Ability to solve shop problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, squares, and square roots.
Knowledge of safety and security measures when utilizing equipment and materials.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
from the floor level up to the inspection station.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail required Good technical/mechanical aptitude.
